Police arrest suspect after 14 year old stabbed in Dartmouth

A suspect has been arrested in the stabbing of a 14-year-old youth on Tuesday afternoon in Dartmouth, N.S, Halifax Regional Police say.

Halifax police have arrested a suspect following the stabbing of a 14-year-old youth in Dartmouth, N.S., on Tuesday afternoon.  

In a release, the Halifax Regional Police said officers were called to a reported injury near Lucien Drive shortly after 3 p.m.

Following the incident, which police believe was not random, the youth was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

An investigation is ongoing.
