Police continuing to investigate Lunenburg County homicide

PARKDALE, N.S. — Police are still investigating a homicide after a man’s body was found last month in Lunenburg County.

Mounties first responded to a report of human remains located in Parkdale, Lunenburg County, near New Ross at around 2:45 p.m. on July 26.

Over the last three weeks, RCMP says investigators have been gathering information and evidence and are now asking for the public’s help with the investigation.

Cpl. Jeff MacFarlane of the Southwest Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit said police believe that there are people in the community who know what happened.

“We are asking that anyone with information, to please come forward,” said MacFarlane.

“Often times, it is the small, seemingly insignificant pieces of information that help investigators make the largest strides in moving an investigation forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the Southwest Nova RCMP at 902-365-3120 or tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
