Police looking for suspect in July 8 assault at Halifax Common pool
HALIFAX, N.S. — Police are turning to the public for help in identifying a suspect after a teen lifeguard was assaulted at the Halifax Common Aquatic Facility last month.
Halifax Regional Police said officers were called to an assault at the outdoor pool on July 8 at about 7 p.m.
Police said a man assaulted a 15-year-old lifeguard after being approached in relation to pool rules.
The man left the pool in a black four-door Honda Civic before police arrived.
The suspect is described as a Black man, between the ages of 40 and 50 and weighing about 250 pounds.
He had tattoos on both arms, a short beard and long black hair that was tied back.
