Police say death of woman in Bible Hill was a homicide

Colchester County District RCMP responded to a call for a well-being check at a home on Bomber Drive in Nova Scotia on Jan. 3. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of a 42-year-old woman and an unconscious man. The man was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment.

According to RCMP, there is currently no evidence to suggest that there is a risk to the public stemming from this incident. However, they are treating the woman’s death as suspicious and have launched a homicide investigation.

The authorities have confirmed that the man and the deceased woman were acquainted with each other, but there is no indication at this time that the incident is related to intimate partner violence. Initially classified as a suspicious death, the case was later reclassified as a homicide by the RCMP on Jan. 9.
