RCMP is seeking public assistance in identifying the man for theft

MOUNT UNIACKE, NS — RCMP in East and West Hants is turning to the public for help identifying a man who attempted to rob a store and stole money from another on June 18.

Mounties said a man entered the Circle K in Mount Uniacke and attempted to rob the store at about 4:15 a.m.

Officers responded to the alarm, but the suspect fled.

A short time later, the man entered the Irving at Windsor’s Garland Crossing, stole money and took off on an ATV.

Police described the suspect as being six feet tall. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black Reebok hoodie, jeans and tan work boots.

RCMP also noted that the suspect presented himself as if he had a weapon under his jersey, but nothing was produced.
