RCMP says youths were sexually assaulted at Fall River grocery store

Halifax District RCMP is asking the public for help in identifying a man they believe sexually assaulted a youth at a Fall River store.

Police say they received a call about the incident around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, which took place at a convenience store on Highway 2.

They were told that three youths and a woman were shopping when one of the youths was groped by a man, who then quickly left the store.

Copl. Guillaume Tremblay said in an interview on Thursday that any information from the public could be useful.

“Whether it’s details of the identity or a license plate number or additional descriptions…be sure to contact the police and we’ll take that information,” Tremblay said.

According to the police, the suspect is between 20 and 30 years old and about 1.80 meters tall. He wore a dark blue Coors Light hoodie under a black jacket and black pants and arrived at the store in a red Hyundai Elantra hatchback.
