RCMP seize cocaine and methamphetamine in Middleton drug bust, four arrested

MIDDLETON, N.S. — Four people are facing drug charges after police seized cocaine and methamphetamine during a drug bust at a home in Middleton on Tuesday.

RCMP officers executed a search warrant at a home on School Street and seized about 30 grams of cocaine, 160 grams of methamphetamine and small plastic bags.

Later, police also found 80 grams of meth hidden in a compartment of a black Dodge Charger parked in the driveway.

During the search, three men and one woman were arrested without incident — 51-year-old Gerald Phillips of Nictaux Fall, 34-year-old Joshua Brooks of New Albany, and Middleton residents Tyler McPherson, 26, and Nicole Oakes, 34.

All four were charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Oakes faces an additional charge of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of failure to comply with conditions, and Brooks is also charged with failure to comply with conditions.

Only Phillips has been released from custody.

The four are set to appear in Annapolis provincial court at a later date.
