Security Council investigates accident at Boundary Bay Airport in Metro Vancouver

DELTA, BC – Investigators from the Transportation Safety Board have been deployed following a small plane crash at Metro Vancouver’s Boundary Bay Airport.

The board says the accident involved a privately registered Mooney M20R single-engine aircraft.

BC Emergency Health Services says it was notified just before noon, but paramedics did not attend to anyone or transport them to hospital.

The Security Council says in a statement that investigators will gather information and assess the incident.

The Boundary Bay Airport is located approximately 30 kilometers south of downtown Vancouver.

It bills itself as Canada’s busiest private airport.
