Suspect arrested after pedestrian injured in Cole Harbour hit and run

COLE HARBOUR, N.S. — RCMP say a pedestrian was hit Monday afternoon in Cole Harbour by a vehicle that sped off.

It happened shortly before 4 p.m., when a person was hit on Shrewsbury Road. Nova Scotia RCMP posted on X that they closed the area from Woodbury Drive to Sherwood Street and advised motorists to stay away.

At about 5:40 p.m., an emergency alert was issued, telling members of the public to be on the lookout for Aaron Daniel Crawley, who was believed to be involved in the hit-and-run incident.

RCMP cancelled the emergency alert just after 6 p.m., saying Crawley had been arrested.
