McDonald’s worker wrestles teen to floor over dipping sauce

A horrifying incident took place at a McDonald’s in St. Petersburg, where a teenage girl was assaulted by an employee after she tried to get a dipping sauce from behind the counter. The shocking details were revealed in court documents that outlined the disturbing encounter.
According to an affidavit obtained by Fox News Digital, Akeena Sampson, a 31-year-old employee at the fast-food chain, was working on April 4 when the incident occurred. The document stated that Sampson “knowingly or willfully” abused the teenager during the altercation.
The situation escalated when the 17-year-old girl walked behind the counter to grab a ranch sauce after allegedly not receiving any assistance from the staff. As she was heading back to the lobby, Sampson rushed over and grabbed her arm, leading to a violent confrontation.
Sampson grabbed the victim by the neck and began choking her before forcefully bringing her to the ground. Despite the victim’s attempts to free herself, Sampson continued to choke her, causing visible injuries to her neck and left elbow, as noted by St. Petersburg police.
Footage of the incident captured the entire altercation, providing evidence of the disturbing assault. Following the incident, Sampson was arrested on a charge of child abuse without causing great bodily harm. She was held on a $2,500 bond but has since been released.
As part of her release conditions, Sampson was ordered to stay away from her workplace and have no contact with the victim. However, McDonald’s has not yet responded to requests for comment on the incident.
This alarming incident serves as a reminder of the importance of workplace safety and customer service protocols. It also highlights the need for swift and appropriate action to address incidents of violence and abuse in any setting.
