Calgary Wild FC Captain Meggie Dougherty Howard extends stay

Calgary’s Newest Resident Aims to Make a Difference in the Community

Former athlete, Dougherty Howard, recently made the move to Calgary and has been blown away by the warmth and hospitality of the city’s residents. Known for its beautiful scenery and passionate sports fans, Calgary has quickly become a second home for Howard.

Howard expressed his excitement about becoming more involved in the community and giving back to organizations that align with his values and goals. He is particularly passionate about providing opportunities for young girls and boys to participate in sports and attend professional games.

“I really want to make this city proud,” said Howard. “Now that I know I will be here more permanently, I want to get immersed into the community and further align myself with organizations that share my values and goals. Providing girls and boys with an opportunity to play sports, and see professional games, is something I’m very passionate about, so I hope I can now leverage my platform to work with organizations in the city to find ways to be a role model for kids in the community.”
