Calgary-based Suncor Energy says it has suffered a cybersecurity incident

CALGARY – A Canadian oil company is the latest to report a cybersecurity incident.

Calgary-based Suncor Energy says it has already notified the appropriate authorities and is working with outside experts to investigate and resolve the situation.

A statement from the company says it is not aware of any customer, supplier or employee data compromised or misused as a result of the intrusion.

The company also warns that some customer and supplier transactions could be affected as efforts to resolve the incident continue.

Last Friday, Suncor saw a 1.08 percent drop on the TSX.

The stock fell 40 cents to $37.51 on 6.5 million shares
