Fox News Poll: Trump, Republicans at record-high ratings as Democrats falter

President Donald Trump’s approval rating is soaring in his second term, matching his all-time high. According to the latest Fox News Poll, Congressional Republicans are also enjoying record ratings, while views of congressional Democrats are plummeting near an all-time low.

Currently, 49% of voters approve of the job President Trump is doing, which is on par with his high approval rating from April 2020. This is an improvement from the same point in his first term, where only 43% approved in March 2017. Trump is receiving high marks among key demographics, including women, Black voters, and voters under the age of 30. Nine in 10 Republicans approve of Trump, while the same number of Democrats disapprove. Among Independents, six in 10 disapprove of his job performance.

Despite his high approval rating, 51% of voters still disapprove of Trump’s job performance, with 45% strongly disapproving. Concerns have been raised about the numerous executive orders he has issued in his first 60 days in office, with about 70% of voters worried that these actions may permanently alter the country’s system of checks and balances.

On the other hand, Congressional Republicans have hit their highest approval rating ever, with 43% of voters approving of their job performance. This marks a significant improvement from previous ratings, despite still having a net negative rating of 12 points. In contrast, 66% of voters disapprove of the job congressional Democrats are doing, with only 30% approving.

Vice President JD Vance’s job rating is in negative territory, with 45% approving and 53% disapproving. Among Republicans, his approval rating is slightly lower than Trump’s and Congressional Republicans’. Additionally, voters disapprove of Elon Musk’s performance at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) by an 18-point margin, with most Democrats strongly disapproving. Secretary of State Marco Rubio breaks even with 47% both approving and disapproving.

Overall, the political landscape is shifting, with Republicans seeing a boost in approval ratings while Democrats are facing a decline. The survey conducted by Beacon Research and Shaw & Company Research provides valuable insights into the current sentiments of voters.
