Quarterback Harris leads Roughriders to 29-9 victory over Tiger-Cats

The Saskatchewan Roughriders continue their impressive streak with a 29-9 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, improving their record to 8-1 for the season. Quarterback Trevor Harris led the team to victory, throwing for 307 yards and three touchdowns. Despite their success, Harris remains focused on the ultimate goal of winning the championship.

Harris, who extended his streak of completing 70% or more of his passes to 12 games, emphasized the team’s commitment to improvement. The defense also played a crucial role in the win, sacking Hamilton quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell six times and intercepting him twice.

Hamilton missed opportunities to score in the red zone, allowing Saskatchewan to take control of the game with 18 unanswered points in the second quarter. The Riders capitalized on their chances and maintained their lead throughout the game.

The sold-out crowd at Mosaic Stadium witnessed a dominant performance by the Riders, who showcased their strength on both offense and defense. Despite the loss, Mitchell remains optimistic about the Tiger-Cats’ future, focusing on the team’s potential for the rest of the season.

Looking ahead, the Roughriders will face the Calgary Stampeders on August 23, while the Tiger-Cats will host the Toronto Argonauts on September 1. Both teams are determined to continue their quest for the championship and build on their successes from the past games.
