Will Ferrell attends LA Kings game dressed as Buddy from ‘Elf’

Will Ferrell Attends Kings-Flyers Game as Buddy the Elf

Will Ferrell made a surprise appearance at the Kings-Flyers game at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena dressed as his iconic character, Buddy the Elf, from the hit holiday movie “Elf.” However, this time Buddy seemed a little worse for wear, sporting a five o’clock shadow and a frown while enjoying a beer and faux cigarette.

Accompanied by his wife Viveca Paulin and son Axel, Ferrell’s Buddy appeared to have had a tough holiday season, as revealed by FanDuel Sports Network reporter Carrlyn Bathe who spoke to the character during the game. Despite his disgruntled appearance, Buddy was rooting for a Kings win.

This portrayal of Buddy was a stark contrast to the lovable and cheerful character audiences have come to adore in the film. Released in 2003 and directed by Jon Favreau, “Elf” quickly became a holiday classic, following Buddy’s journey from the North Pole to New York City in search of his father.

As fans reminisce about the heartwarming and humorous moments from “Elf,” they can only hope that the next time they see Buddy, he will be back to his joyful self, spreading holiday cheer and indulging in the sweeter things in life.
