The man from Enfield is facing three charges of sexual assault involving the same woman
An Enfield man has been charged with three counts of sexual assault involving the same woman.
RCMP alleges that Robert Moulton, 61, committed the offenses on March 18 at his home on Carriage Lane.
The incident was reported to East Hants RCMP on April 21. Officers met with the complainant, who alleged that she had been sexually assaulted while sleeping.
Moulton was arrested on April 24 and released on conditions. He was arraigned in Shubenacadie Provincial Court on June 26.
The allegations were back in court on Monday, when attorney Leora Lawson appeared by phone on Moulton’s behalf.
Lawson told the judge she expects her client to enter not guilty pleas, but they need to talk further.
Judge Marc Chisholm had scheduled the case to return for election and a plea in two weeks. At the Crown’s request, Chisholm placed a publication ban on the complainant’s identity.
Moulton’s commitment requires him to have no contact with the woman and to stay away from her residence and any other addresses associated with her. He has to leave every place she visits as soon as he sees her there.
