Scottie Barnes upgraded to questionable by Toronto Raptors

Toronto Raptors’ Scottie Barnes Upgraded to Questionable for Game Against Brooklyn Nets

Rising star Scottie Barnes of the Toronto Raptors has been upgraded to questionable for the upcoming game against the Brooklyn Nets.

Barnes took part in practice at the OVO Athletic Centre this morning as the Raptors prepare to face the Nets tomorrow night.

The talented forward had been sidelined for two games due to a right ankle sprain sustained during a tough matchup against the New York Knicks, which ended in a 113-108 loss.

Unfortunately, the Raptors will be without centre Jakob Poeltl, forward Bruce Brown, and guard Immanuel Quickley for the game against the Nets.

Poeltl is dealing with a bilateral groin strain following Monday’s narrow 122-121 defeat to the Chicago Bulls and is currently listed as day-to-day.

Quickley, who has a partially torn UCL, and Brown, who is still in the post-surgery reconditioning phase, do not have a definitive timeline for their return to the court.

This report by The Canadian Press was originally published on December 18, 2024.
