Funding in doubt for program keeping endangered Métis language alive

Funding for an immersion program aimed at teaching Southern Michif — a traditional language of Métis people in Manitoba — to younger generations is in doubt. Community members say the program is vital to keeping the endangered Indigenous language alive.
