RCMP searching for suspect who tore down Pride Flag from Pictou County school

LYONS BROOK, N.S. — The RCMP are investigating a suspected hate-motivated crime at a school in Lyons Brook.
Responding to a report that the Pride Flag at West Pictou Consolidated School had been torn down during the early morning of Saturday, Oct. 21, officers found the flagpole was also bent in the process.
Surveillance footage helped police identify a possible suspect, a man with facial hair who was driving a grey Ford F150 pickup seen at the location at the time of the incident.
Pictou County District RCMP are turning to the public for help to identify the person of interest.
