L.A. wildfires postpone Calgary Flames game against Kings

Calgary Flames Game in Los Angeles Postponed Due to Wildfires
The scheduled game between the Calgary Flames and the Los Angeles Kings at Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday night has been postponed due to the devastating wildfires that are currently raging through the Los Angeles area.
The announcement of the postponement was made by the Los Angeles Kings on their social media platforms.
“Our hearts go out to the entire Los Angeles community during this challenging time,” the team expressed in their post.
The team also extended their gratitude towards the first responders who are working tirelessly to contain the fires and protect the community.
As of Wednesday, there are at least four separate wildfires burning in the metropolitan area, resulting in the destruction of nearly 1,000 structures and the tragic loss of two lives.
The severity of the situation has led to the evacuation orders for at least 70,000 residents in the affected areas.
In response to the ongoing crisis, the NHL released a statement regarding the postponement of the game.
“In light of the devastating effects of the wildfires in the Los Angeles area, tonight’s game between the Los Angeles Kings and Calgary Flames at Crypto.com Arena, NHL Game No. 653, has been postponed,” the NHL statement read.
The NHL emphasized that their thoughts are with the Kings, hockey fans, and the entire Los Angeles community during this difficult time.
Fans who had purchased tickets for the game will be able to use them for the rescheduled date once it is confirmed. The Kings will provide further information regarding the new date and time as soon as possible.
