Teen dead, five adults hospitalized following two-vehicle collision in Nova Scotia
NEW ROSS, N.S. — A teenager is dead and five adults are in hospital after two vehicles collided on Highway 12 in New Ross.
Emergency crews were called to the two-vehicle crash at about 1:15 a.m. on Sunday after a Honda Civic and a Toyota Corolla travelling in opposite directions collided.
RCMP said the passenger of the Honda Civic, a 17-year-old from Chester Grant, was dead at the scene. The gender of the teen was not provided by police.
The driver, a 20-year-old man from New Ross, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The four occupants of the Toyota Corolla, two men, 28 and 26, and two women, 28 and 25, suffered injuries and were transported to hospital by ambulance.
A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
