Canmore RCMP Respond to Multi-Vehicle Collision on Trans-Canada Highway

Canmore RCMP responded to a multi-vehicle collision in the westbound lanes of the Trans-Canada Highway near Highway 1A on Sunday evening. The collision caused road closures and delays as police diverted traffic and worked to clear the scene.

Road Closures and Delays

Westbound drivers were detoured and faced significant delays as RCMP officers remained on site for several hours. Motorists were advised to find alternate routes or to expect delays if traveling in the area.

Scene Cleared by 9 p.m.

By 9 p.m., RCMP announced that the scene had been cleared and normal traffic flow had resumed along Highway 1. The cause of the collision and any injuries sustained are currently unknown.
