Truro man hospitalized with serious injuries after being purposely struck by SUV

TRURO, N.S. — A Truro man is in hospital after police say he was intentionally run down by a vehicle on Thursday evening, Nov. 2.

Members of the Truro Police Service were called to the intersection of McClures Mills Road and Abenaki Road around 6 p.m. where police determined the driver of the vehicle purposely hit the pedestrian and then fled the scene.

The suspect vehicle is described as a black GMC Terrain with Nova Scotia license HCH 125 that was driven by slender man with multiple facial tattoos.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to Colchester East Hants Health Centre.

Anyone with dash camera video or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Truro Police Service at 902-895-5351.
