Woman hospitalized after being hit with metal pipe in Kings County, man charged with assault

AUBURN, NS — An Auburn man is being charged after police allege he assaulted his neighbor with a metal pipe on Thursday, July 6.

Kings District RCMP officers responded to a home on Highway 1 in Auburn around 3:30 a.m. Thursday

Responding officers heard a woman and man got into an argument that escalated when police said the man hit the woman on the head with a metal pipe.

Then the man went back to his house.

The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

William Rayne Wack, 24, was arrested. He faces charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and three counts of non-compliance with a probation order.

Wack was held in custody to appear in Kentville County Court at 9:30 a.m. on July 10

The investigation is ongoing.
