Woman vanishes as police find car in ditch, arrest driver in puzzling case

The family of Chastity Ann Terry is desperately seeking help from the public and law enforcement after the 39-year-old Alabama woman went missing last week. Hamilton Police Department stated that Terry was last seen on January 10 at around 1:30 am at an interstate exit in Guin, Alabama. They also mentioned that Terry may be living with a condition that could impair her judgment.
Hamilton Police Chief Jordan Carter disclosed that Terry was last seen with 49-year-old Charles David Williams Jr. at a Love’s gas station truck stop on Interstate 22. He added, “Ms. Terry then left with this male from the Love’s in Jasper, and continued I-22 westbound from that location. We believe she did occupy a vehicle that was in a ditch located on I-22 near Exit 22, which is County Road 45.”
Police impounded the vehicle that Terry was last seen in and arrested Williams for conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime. Williams was booked into the Marion County Jail on January 12. However, authorities did not confirm if Williams’ arrest was connected to Terry’s disappearance. Reports suggested that the pair traveled to the Birmingham area to purchase drugs.
Terry’s sister took to Facebook to urge the public for any information that could help locate her missing sister. She emphasized, “SOMEONE has to know something, or even just heard something. Please contact one of us immediately if you do!! We want our sister home!” Terry is described as 5’6″ and 160 lbs with strawberry blonde hair and hazel eyes.
Anyone with information is requested to contact Sgt. Cody McCullar at 205-570-5871 or email cmccullar@hamiltoncityal.org. The family is hopeful that with the community’s assistance, they can bring Chastity home safely.
