41-year-old man charged with attempted murder after Middle Sackville stabbing

MIDDLE SACKVILLE, N.S. — A 41-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing sent another man to hospital in Middle Sackville on Saturday. 

At about 6:10 p.m., Halifax District RCMP were called to a home on Sackville Drive where Mounties learned a man, armed with a knife, had attacked a 51-year-old man who was known to him. 

The Middle Sackville victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital by EHS. 

The accused, Troy Lyndon Faye, 41, has been remanded in custody and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes. 

Faye will appear in Dartmouth provincial court on Nov. 14. 

The investigation is ongoing and led by the special investigations section of the RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.
