Canada’s Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant Secure Olympic Mixed Doubles Spot

Canada’s dynamic duo, Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant, have officially punched their ticket to the Olympic mixed doubles event at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympic Games. The pair, hailing from Chestermere, Alta., secured their spot at the Winter Games by delivering a stellar performance at the ongoing world mixed doubles curling championship in Fredericton.

Peterman and Gallant’s road to the Olympics began with an impressive undefeated run at the Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Trials in January. Their flawless performance guaranteed them the opportunity to represent Canada on the world stage in Italy.

The selection of the seven countries to join host Italy at the 2026 Games will be determined by the combined results from this year’s world mixed doubles competition and the 2024 world playdowns. The remaining two spots in the 10-team field will be up for grabs at the Olympic Qualifying Event in December in Kelowna, B.C.

While the Olympic spot is within their reach, Peterman and Gallant are focused on the task at hand in Fredericton. They are set to face Estonia in the preliminary round of the playoffs on Friday at 9 a.m. ET, with the winner advancing to the semifinals. The medal games are scheduled for Saturday.

As the anticipation builds for the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympic Games, fans can look forward to witnessing the skill and determination of Canada’s Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant as they compete on the world stage in mixed doubles curling.
