William Prince to Receive Allan Slaight Music Impact Honour at Canada’s Walk of Fame

Country-folk artist William Prince is set to be recognized with the prestigious Allan Slaight Music Impact Honour at Canada’s Walk of Fame.

Hailing from Peguis First Nation, located north of Winnipeg, Prince’s musical talents have earned him this distinguished award, which celebrates Canadian musicians who make a positive impact in the industry.

The organization commends Prince for his efforts, including hosting “A Day to Listen” in 2023, an event that commemorates Truth and Reconciliation Day.

Additionally, Prince’s song dedicated to the 40th anniversary of Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope showcases his commitment to meaningful and impactful music.

To honor Prince’s achievements, Great Big Sea’s lead vocalist, Alan Doyle, will deliver a special performance of one of Prince’s songs during the Canada’s Walk of Fame ceremony on November 20.
