Titans would be ‘absolute fools’ if they don’t draft Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, ex-star says

The Tennessee Titans currently hold the second pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, positioning them to potentially select a franchise quarterback. However, former Titans star Chris Johnson believes that the team already has their franchise quarterback in Will Levis and should consider other options with their top pick.

Johnson, who is one of only nine players in NFL history to rush for 2,000 yards in a single season, is advocating for the Titans to select two-way star Travis Hunter out of Colorado. Hunter, who excels as both a wide receiver and cornerback, has caught the attention of Johnson and many others in the football world.

“I want Hunter. I want Travis. Will Levis, we just got him. I think Will is going to end up being a good quarterback,” Johnson expressed to TMZ Sports. “Sometimes it takes time for quarterbacks to develop. I think we should give Will a chance to prove himself and bring in Travis as well. We would be foolish to pass up on him at No. 2.”

Hunter, who recently won the Heisman Trophy in a close race, has expressed interest in playing both offense and defense at the professional level. While some experts believe he may be better suited for the defensive side of the ball, his versatility and playmaking ability make him an intriguing prospect for any team.

As for Levis, the young quarterback has had a rocky start to his NFL career, struggling with consistency and turnovers in his first two seasons. With the opportunity to select a talent like Hunter at No. 2, the Titans could also consider other quarterback options like Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward in the draft.

Ultimately, the decision will come down to the Titans’ front office and coaching staff on draft day. With the potential to add a dynamic playmaker like Travis Hunter to their roster, the Titans will have a tough choice to make as they look to build for the future. Stay tuned for more updates as the NFL Draft approaches.
