Amber Alert canceled after six-year-old twin sisters found safe
An Amber Alert from Montreal police for six-year-old twin sisters has been lifted after the girls were found safe.
Police say the girls were found in the Saint-Alexis-des-Monts neighborhood, about 140 kilometers north of Montreal.
Police also say they found the girls’ mother and everyone was safe and sound.
Police believe it to be a kidnapping, but say investigations are continuing.
The warning was issued after the girls were taken in mid-afternoon.
Police say investigators will speak to the mother and girls to determine exactly what happened.
