Two stars, one experienced veteran and the other a number one pick, hit in a heated scuffle during a scorching Titansa-exercise on Monday.

Quarterback Cam Ward, the first overall choice of the 2025 NFL concept, and defensive Tackle Jeffery Simmons were spotted after a game late in practice.

Ward threw a touchdown to broad recipient Calvin Ridley, and while he was going to celebrate, he stopped for Simmons to tease him with his characteristic “zombieland” celebration – something that Simmons is known after making big defensive plays.

Simmons didn’t like it and pushed Ward into the face mask with both hands.

That led to the offensive line of the Titans to run in quickly to protect their quarterback, including left -wing tackle Dan Moore Jr.

“Absolutely not,” Moore said when he was asked if anyone can touch the quarterback, Per ESPN. “That speaks for itself.”

Both players were eventually separated. Simmons lost his helmet during the physical fight and left the field, while Ward started performing the next game.

Titan’s head coach Brian Callahan did not let it slip. After the exercise, he let the entire team run in the 96-degree heat.

“You get the same attitude, trust, the same lead every day of those two boys,” said Cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr. After the exercise. “That’s what you expect. But if it happens with the quarterback, you have to take it apart as quickly as possible. But fighting brothers.”

There had previously been a tension building, because Ward and Right Tackle JC Latham with Simmons jawed after a short-yar-day touchdown by running back through Julius Chestnut. Simmons talked about garbage about the attack and Ward and Latham shot back from the Huddle.

Ward then threw the touchdown to Ridley and decided to maintain the rivalry, which led to the collision.

Although a competitive advantage – even among teammates – is encouraged during NFL training camps, nobody wants to see the quarterback that is involved in physical quarrels. However, Simmons would not let him mock him with his own party, although the Titans clearly want to draw a line with these confrontations.

“You never want to see your quarterback in the middle of things like that,” Brownlee added. “But when it happens, it shows you the kind of dog he has in him. He is not going to assume anything.”

Ward, who only went 2-7 for 42 Yards during his second preseason in the weekend, will be given a final adjustment against the Minnesota Vikings before his debut in the regular season against the Denver Broncos on 7 September.
