DoD authorizes civilian workers to join border security efforts at DHS request
The Department of Defense (DOD) has announced a new voluntary program for its civilian employees to provide support at the southern border in collaboration with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This initiative aims to bolster border operations and enhance national security efforts.
According to a memo released by the agency on Monday, civilian employees of the DOD are now authorized to volunteer for travel and assistance at the border.
