Dwayne Johnson reveals he wears a bodysuit in 2026’s ‘Moana’

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Confirms Wearing a Bodysuit for Live-Action “Moana” Role

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson may be known for his impressive physique, but even he admits to needing a little help sometimes. After photos surfaced of Johnson on the set of the live-action version of “Moana,” he confirmed that he wears a bodysuit for the project.

In a recent interview with “Extra,” Johnson opened up about his role as Maui in the movie, revealing that he couldn’t take full credit for his buff appearance in the film. “That’s a suit that took a long time to put on,” the actor explained. “So, I’m so happy you said, ‘You bulked up,’ because when you say, ‘You bulked up,’ that means you couldn’t tell.”

Johnson went on to share that it takes hours of preparation each day to transform into his character. “We shot outside and when those pictures surfaced, I was like, ‘S**t, we got caught,’ because we were putting up walls to avoid paparazzi,” he said. “But they got into boats and started shooting pictures. So, but I’m happy you liked it.”

The highly anticipated animated sequel, “Moana 2,” is currently dominating the box office, with Johnson’s live-action version set to hit theaters in 2026.
