Former Deputy Prime Minister of Alberta launches Pro-Canada Petition in the midst of calls for separation

Former Alberta politician Thomas Lukaszuk is leading the charge to prevent Canada from splitting apart. Lukaszuk, a former progressive conservative deputy Prime Minister, is dedicated to his mission of keeping Alberta united with the rest of the country.
“This has become a full-time job. I am very passionate about this,” said Lukaszuk during a recent event in Edmonton. He has been actively working to gather signatures for his Forever Canadian petition, which aims to collect 294,000 names in order to push for a referendum on Alberta’s status within Canada.
The Forever Canadian project has garnered support from volunteers across the province, with thousands of people coming together to help collect signatures. Lukaszuk emphasized the importance of reaching the signature goal by the end of October in order to make history with the largest petition in Canada.
While some have criticized Lukaszuk’s efforts, including conservative Prime Minister Danielle Smith, Lukaszuk remains steadfast in his commitment to keeping Alberta part of Canada. He has seen firsthand the consequences of political unrest, having immigrated to Canada from Poland as a child.
The Forever Canadian movement has attracted support from individuals across the political spectrum, including former Alberta Progressive Conservative Prime Minister Ed Stelmach and former NDP leader Ray Martin. Despite facing challenges and opposition, Lukaszuk remains determined to uphold the unity of Canada.
In the midst of a growing separatist movement in Alberta, Lukaszuk’s efforts serve as a beacon of hope for those who believe in the strength of a united Canada. With the support of volunteers and supporters, Lukaszuk continues to push forward in his quest to keep Alberta forever Canadian.
