Eligible requirements

To be eligible for the FMCSP, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be a citizen of one of one of 33 eligible countries;
• Have a *acceptance of one participate designated learning institution (DLI) for one Eligible study program** outside Quebec It states that you apply via the FMCSP;

Application on the FCMSP

To apply for an FMCSP research permit, you must first submit an application to a study program with a participating DLI and receive an acceptance letter.

The acceptance letter must state that you are planning to register under the FMCSP and that you meet the requirements of the research program required.

FMCSP research permit applicants do not require Provincial certificate.

In most cases, eligible foreigners must submit an application online via their IRCC Secure account.

You will be asked to provide the following documentation when submitting your study permit application:

• The original or electronic copy of an acceptance letter of a participating DLI stating that you are applying for the FMCSP and that you meet the program of the Study Reesters;
• Proof of financial support;
• A language test from one of the two approved language test providers (Tef Canada or TCF Canada);
• Your medical exam (if applicable); And
• Your police certificate (if applicable).

During the application process you must also indicate “Yes, I meet an exception to submitting a provincial or territorial certificate“In the relevant section.

The application processing costs for the FMCSP are $ 150. Once this reimbursement has been paid, you will be informed whether you must provide biometric– If biometrics are required, you have 30 days to provide them personally in your nearest Visa Application Center.

If your application is successful, you will receive your introduction letter (POE) (POE) that indicates that you have been approved for a study permit via the FMCSP. You must show this letter to civil servants upon arrival in Canada.

Depending on your input requirements, you will also become one electronic travel authorization (ETA) or a visitor visa.

Your study permit will be issued by the POE after the officer verifies that you are eligible to enter the country and it will remain valid until the end of your school program.

Your spouse, common law partner and/or dependent children may be able to accompany you to Canada if they are eligible for a visitor visa, study permit or Open work permit.

The FCMSP was launched on August 26, 2024, with a fixed limit of 2,300 FCMSPS studies for the first year. Immigration, refugees and citizenship Canada (IRCC) will announce its 2025 cap in August this year.

Proof of financial support

In addition to demonstrating that you have enough money to pay your tuition and travel costs, you must show that you have enough money to cover the costs of living for you and your family.

• Receipts or proof of payment for tuition fees and housing on campus, if applicable;
• A letter from the person or institution that offers you financial support; and/or
• Receiving proof of financing from a Canadian source, such as a trade show or a educational program funded by Canada.

If your country imposes forward -facing checks, you must provide proof that you can export money legally for all your expenses.

Obtaining PR

You may be eligible to request a Canadian PR if you meet the following criteria at the time of application:

• You currently live in Canada, outside Quebec;
• You have a valid temporary population status in Canada; And
• You have obtained an eligible extent or diploma by participating in the FMCSP.
