Killing of Nathaniel Brown added to Nova Scotia unsolved crimes reward program

DARTMOUTH, N.S. — The Nova Scotia government is offering up to $150,000 to anyone with information leading to the arrest or conviction in relation to the February shooting death of Nathaniel Maurice Brown in Dartmouth.

On Feb. 4, Halifax Regional Police responded to a weapons call outside a Lahey Drive home where they found Brown, 36, shot to death at about 11:20 p.m.

A medical examiner ruled Brown’s death a homicide.

“Mr. Brown’s family has suffered a terrible loss and they deserve closure,” said Justice Minister Brad Johns, “I encourage anyone with information to please come forward if you know something about this crime.”

Investigators believe there may be people who have information not yet offered to police that could result in arrests and possible charges.

Anyone with information about the crime should call the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program at 1-888-710-9090.
