Stampeders QB Adams dealing with concussion-like symptoms

Calgary Stampeders quarterback Vernon Adams Jr., 32, has been sidelined with concussion-like symptoms after taking a hit in a recent game against the Montreal Alouettes. This forced him to miss the fourth quarter of that game and the following contest against the Ottawa Redblacks. In his absence, CFL rookie QB P.J. Walker stepped in to lead the team.

LB Adam Bighill nearing return for Stampeders

Linebacker Adam Bighill, a seasoned CFL veteran who signed with the Stampeders two months ago, has yet to see game action. However, head coach Dave Dickenson has hinted that Bighill may be close to making his debut. Dickenson believes that Bighill’s presence on the field will make the team stronger and is hopeful to see him in action soon.

Stampeders fans show generosity in food drive

During the Stampeders’ recent 32-15 victory over the Saskatchewan Roughriders, fans demonstrated their generosity by donating 50,468 pounds of food as part of the Purolator Tackle Hunger program in support of the Calgary Food Bank. This brings the team’s season-long total to over 103,000 pounds of food collected. Fans can continue to contribute non-perishable food items at the Stampeders’ ticket office until the end of the regular season.
