Head-on Cambridge, N.S. crash sends one man to hospital

CAMBRIDGE, N.S. — A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a two-vehicle crash in Cambridge on Friday night.

Around 11:23 p.m., on Jan. 26, emergency personnel were called to a two-vehicle crash involving a Ford pickup truck and a Ford Escape SUV on Highway 1.

RCMP officers learned that the truck and SUV were travelling in opposite directions before colliding head-on.

The driver of the truck and lone occupant, a 24-year-old Kentville man, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital by EHS.

The only occupant of the SUV, a 41-year-old Colebrook man, was uninjured.

An RCMP collision analyst processed the scene and is involved in the ongoing investigation.
