The 2025 Canadian International AutoShow (CIAS) showcased a plethora of tech innovations in the automotive industry, making it evident that technology is here to stay. With over 40 automotive brands on display, the show featured vehicles packed with advanced tech for safety, entertainment, connectivity, and convenience.

One of the standout vehicles at the show was the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV, boasting an impressive range of up to 792 km on a single charge. The truck also features a unique “Sidewinder” steering system, allowing it to move diagonally for easier parking and off-road maneuvering. Additionally, the Silverado EV comes equipped with a built-in external charging port, providing up to 10.2 kW of power for external devices.

Another highlight was the upcoming 2026 BMW iX, an all-electric SUV offering increased power and range. The vehicle introduces BMW’s AirConsole platform, allowing drivers and passengers to play games on the infotainment display using their smartphones as controllers. The iX also features a self-healing grille, capable of repairing minor scratches within 24 hours.

Cadillac’s 2025 OPTIQ SUV caught the attention of tech-savvy buyers with its luxurious design and advanced features. The vehicle supports Level 3 fast charging, Regen On Demand braking, and One-Pedal Driving for a seamless driving experience. The OPTIQ also includes a 19-speaker AKG surround sound system for an immersive audio experience.

Lincoln’s 2025 Navigator impressed show attendees with its revamped Lincoln Digital Experience, featuring a 48-inch panoramic display powered by Google. The vehicle offers real-time traffic and weather alerts, customizable widgets, and access to various apps via the Google Play store. The Navigator also includes Lincoln Rejuvenate, a multi-sensory experience that enhances comfort and relaxation.
