European leaders flamed for ‘creepy’ pro-Zelenskyy posts that read exactly the same

A number of European leaders are facing scrutiny on social media for sharing identical pro-Ukraine messages following a heated meeting between Ukraine President Vlodomyr Zelenskyy and President Donald Trump. The messages, which all read, “Your dignity honours the bravery of the Ukrainian people. Be strong, be brave, be fearless. You are never alone, dear President @ZelenskyyUa. We will continue working with you for a just and lasting peace,” were posted by European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Commissioner for Trade Valdis Dombrovskis, European Parliament member Manfred Weber, and European Council President António Costa.
Critics on social media were quick to point out the striking similarity in the messages, with some calling it “kinda creepy” and questioning if the EU accounts were run by bots. When reached for comment, the European Parliament and European Commission did not immediately respond.
After the tense meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian president met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who pledged the UK’s unwavering support for Ukraine, stating, “We stand with Ukraine for as long as it may take.” Starmer also revealed plans for the UK and France to lead efforts in crafting a peace plan for Ukraine, with the UK prepared to provide military support if necessary.
During a summit in London, Starmer emphasized the importance of a tough and fair peace deal that would prevent Russian aggression, with the UK ready to deploy troops and aircraft in support of the agreement. The summit brought together European leaders to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire with Russia.
However, US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard criticized some European nations for their divergence from US values and commitment to peace in Eastern Europe. Gabbard slammed European countries for undermining democracy and implementing anti-freedom policies, citing examples in the UK, Germany, and Romania.
As tensions continue to rise in Eastern Europe, world leaders are faced with the challenge of navigating a complex geopolitical landscape while upholding democratic values and promoting peace in the region. The solidarity shown by some European leaders in support of Ukraine is a testament to the ongoing efforts to ensure a just and lasting peace in the region.
