Hospital trip lands wanted Houston pimp in custody

Absconded Houston Pimp Found in Critical Condition After Overdose, Arrested
A notorious Houston pimp, Thaddeus Allen, who had been on the run for 20 months after skipping bail during his trial, resulting in a 75-year prison sentence for human trafficking, has been apprehended.
The 36-year-old Allen had a warrant issued for his arrest in April 2023 after failing to appear for his trial, as confirmed by then-Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg.
Allen was located by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Criminal Apprehension Team after being admitted to a Houston hospital under an alias on New Year’s Eve following an overdose on PCP and methamphetamine.
According to FOX 26 in Houston, Andy Kahan of Houston Crime Stoppers referred to Allen as “The Ghost” due to his knack for disappearing, highlighting his involvement in human trafficking and compelling prostitution.
Houston Crime Stoppers, although unresponsive to inquiries, played a crucial role in Allen’s arrest, leading to his capture after receiving a tip.
Allen’s Trial and Sentencing
During Allen’s weeklong trial in April, he appeared for the first five days but failed to show up for the closing arguments on the sixth day. Despite his absence, the jury found him guilty of human trafficking and sentenced him to 75 years in prison.
Alongside human trafficking, Allen faced pending charges for aggravated promotion of prostitution involving multiple women. He will need to serve half of his 75-year sentence before being eligible for parole.
Previous Criminal Record
The District Attorney’s office described Allen as a “habitual felon” with a history of felony convictions, including evading police and burglary. Despite facing serious charges, Allen was released on $200,000 bail.
Following his arrest, Allen will be transferred to jail once he is released from the hospital, as confirmed by detectives.
