Trump sounds off on Judge Boasberg being assigned another Trump-related case

President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to express his frustration after Judge James Boasberg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia was assigned to preside over a lawsuit involving several Trump administration officials and the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).
Boasberg, who was nominated by former President Obama, has been handling a case challenging Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act to deport members of the Venezuelan terrorist organization Tren de Aragua. Trump criticized the assignment of Boasberg to another case involving his administration, alleging bias and conflicts of interest.
“How disgraceful is it that ‘Judge’ James Boasberg has just been given a fourth ‘Trump Case,’ something which is, statistically, IMPOSSIBLE. There is no way for a Republican, especially a TRUMP REPUBLICAN, to win before him,” Trump stated in a post on Truth Social.
Trump accused Boasberg of being highly conflicted due to his alleged “hatred” towards him and his family conflicts, questioning the fairness of the judicial system. He called for an investigation into what he perceives as a rigged system in the nation’s courts, particularly in New York and D.C.
The former president also called for Boasberg’s impeachment, labeling him as a “Radical Left Lunatic of a Judge” and a “troublemaker and agitator.” Trump expressed doubt about receiving a fair ruling in D.C. and criticized the perceived corruption and radicalism in the courts.
The lawsuit in question was filed by American Oversight, a watchdog group, and names several Trump administration officials, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and CIA Director John Ratcliffe, as defendants. The suit aims to prevent the destruction of federal records and compel the defendants to preserve and recover records related to the unauthorized use of the messaging app Signal for national security decision-making.
