Israeli cabinet backs Trump’s demand for Hamas to release all hostages

Israel’s security cabinet fully supports President Donald Trump’s demand that the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas release all of its hostages by noon on Saturday or face severe consequences, an Israeli official told Fox News. The announcement comes after Hamas announced a delay in the release of Israeli hostages, prompting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to convene his security cabinet for a meeting.
During the meeting, Netanyahu declared, “If Hamas does not return our hostages by Saturday noon – the ceasefire will end, and the IDF will resume intense combat until Hamas is decisively defeated.” He also instructed the IDF to amass forces inside and around the Gaza Strip in preparation for potential military action.
In response to Hamas’ decision to violate the ceasefire agreement, Netanyahu stated, “We also welcomed the President’s revolutionary vision for the future of Gaza.” Trump has made it clear that if Hamas does not release all hostages by the specified deadline, he will call for the ceasefire to be canceled and allow “all hell to break out.”
Trump reiterated his stance on the issue, emphasizing that Hamas must release all hostages at once and not in a piecemeal fashion. He warned that if the hostages are not returned by Saturday at noon, “all hell is going to break out.”
Hamas, on the other hand, accused Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement, citing delays in allowing the return of displaced Palestinians to the northern Gaza Strip and targeting them with shelling and gunfire. Despite Hamas’ claims, Israel and Hamas have successfully carried out five swaps since the ceasefire began, freeing 21 hostages and over 730 Palestinian prisoners.
The next exchange, scheduled for the following Saturday, calls for the release of three Israeli hostages in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. The ongoing tensions between Israel and Hamas highlight the fragile nature of the ceasefire agreement and the potential for renewed conflict in the region.
As the deadline approaches, both sides remain on high alert, with the Israeli military prepared to take decisive action if Hamas fails to comply with the demand for the release of all hostages. The international community is closely monitoring the situation, hoping for a peaceful resolution to the hostage crisis in Gaza.
