Tom Brady pays tribute to ‘real superheroes’ on Veterans Day
NFL superstar Tom Brady took a moment to honor the brave men and women who have served in the United States military on Veterans Day. In a heartfelt post on social media, Brady expressed his gratitude and admiration for those who have sacrificed for their country.
“Happy Veterans Day to those who have proudly served this amazing country,” Brady wrote. “The REAL superheroes in our world.” The post was accompanied by a powerful image of Brady looking on before a game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals.
Brady was not the only sports figure to pay tribute to veterans on social media. Teams like the New York Yankees, Brooklyn Nets, and Pittsburgh Steelers also shared messages of appreciation for the men and women who have served in the military.
Earlier in the day, President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were seen together for the first time since Harris lost the election to President-elect Donald Trump. The duo participated in a Presidential Armed Forces Full Honor Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
“Today, we honor all our veterans who have defended and fought for our democracy,” Biden wrote in a post. “They prove that we are a nation that can meet darkness with light, no matter how high the cost or how heavy the burden. May we all strive to be worthy of their sacrifices for us.”
Veterans Day is a federal holiday dedicated to honoring the service of U.S. military veterans who have served in the armed forces. Originally known as Armistice Day, the holiday was renamed Veterans Day in 1954.
As we reflect on the sacrifices made by our veterans, let us all strive to be worthy of their dedication and service to our country. Their bravery and selflessness deserve our utmost respect and gratitude.
