Nancy Mace catches wild confrontation with voter on camera: ‘Unhinged lunatic’

Rep. Nancy Mace, a Republican from South Carolina, found herself in a heated confrontation with a voter recently over the timing of her next town hall meeting. The exchange quickly escalated, with both Mace and the voter exchanging expletives and insults.

In a post on social media, Mace described the voter as an “unhinged lunatic” who confronted her at a makeup store while wearing daisy dukes. She went on to criticize Democrats, stating, “Dems are nuts. So I went off – and I won’t be backing down.”

The video of the confrontation, which lasted just under two minutes, begins with Mace explaining that she holds town halls “every year” and accusing the voter of harassing her. She reassures him that she has already held one town hall and will hold more in the future.

Things take a turn when Mace mentions that she had voted for gay marriage twice, a statement that seemed to offend the voter. He questions why that would matter to him, to which Mace responds that she believes everything is connected to gay marriage.

The conversation quickly becomes confrontational, with Mace calling the man “crazy” and accusing him of being a part of the “insane” left. The voter retaliates by predicting that Mace will be voted out of office quickly.

Following the altercation, Mace shared the video on social media, emphasizing that she is always available and ready to engage with constituents. She defiantly stated, “I hold the line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Try me.”

Mace’s office did not provide immediate comment on the incident.
