Bondi, Cabinet officials convene for interagency task force targeting ‘anti-Christian’ bias

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi recently hosted a meeting with Cabinet officials from the Trump administration to kick off a new interagency task force aimed at addressing what she described as \”anti-Christian bias\” within the federal government. Bondi emphasized the need to remedy what she called the \”abuse\” that occurred under the Biden-led Justice Department and other federal agencies prior to Trump’s second presidential term.

During the meeting, Bondi highlighted the task force’s goal of addressing the targeting of peaceful Christians while overlooking violent, anti-Christian offenses. She echoed President Donald Trump’s sentiments, stating that the Biden administration engaged in a pattern of discrimination against Christians and that it was time to rectify this injustice.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from various federal agencies, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, FBI Director Kash Patel, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Bondi also shared some of the actions that the Trump administration has taken to combat anti-Christian biases, such as dropping cases against pro-life groups and redefining the FACE Act to protect pro-life organizations from weaponization.

Bondi emphasized that protecting Christians from bias is not about showing favoritism but upholding the rule of law and preserving the constitutional right to freedom of speech and religion. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche mentioned that the task force would listen to individuals who had experienced harm due to anti-Christian sentiment within their agencies.

The meeting also addressed the creation of the task force by President Trump via an executive order in February, with Bondi appointed to lead the initiative. The goal of the task force is to eradicate anti-Christian targeting and discrimination within the government.

In a move to gather information on instances of anti-Christian bias, the Trump administration reportedly sent an internal cable to State Department employees, urging them to report any incidents of discrimination. The internal cable encouraged employees to share information anonymously through a tip form, which was distributed to embassies worldwide and department headquarters in D.C.

The task force meeting concluded with a promise to address the issue of anti-Christian bias within the federal government and uphold the constitutional promise of freedom of religion and speech. Bondi and other officials highlighted the importance of protecting Christians from discrimination and ensuring that all citizens can live according to their beliefs without interference from the government.
