Halifax police looking for man who forced boys to drink alcohol

Halifax Regional Police are reaching out to the community for assistance in identifying a man who coerced two teenage boys into consuming alcohol. The unsettling incident took place at the Halifax Shopping Centre, where the man reportedly followed the teens into a bathroom on Thursday evening at approximately 5:30 p.m.
According to a press release issued by the police, the man forced the two boys into a stall within the bathroom and refused to allow them to exit unless they consumed alcohol. This alarming behavior is deeply concerning, as the safety and well-being of minors should always be a top priority.
In addition to targeting the two boys, the suspect was also observed approaching young girls in the mall’s parkade and attempting to pressure them into drinking alcohol. Such predatory actions are unacceptable and must be addressed swiftly and decisively.
The authorities were alerted to the incident the following day, prompting them to release photos of the suspect in question. Described as a light-skinned Black man in his 20s, the individual was wearing a Pittsburgh Penguins sweatshirt with a grey hoodie underneath at the time of the incident.
