Tens of thousands of Palestinians flee amid Gaza City takeover fears — as Israel reportedly cuts humanitarian aid

Israel Prepares to Stomp Out Hamas in Gaza City

Reports have emerged that tens of thousands of Palestinians are fleeing Gaza City as the Israeli military gears up for a full-scale takeover to eliminate Hamas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is planning to halt humanitarian aid airdrops and reduce the arrival of aid trucks in the northern part of the Strip in preparation for the operation. The goal is to evacuate 1 million Palestinians from Gaza City by mid-September.

Caravans of Palestinians have already been spotted heading south from the besieged city, with an estimated 23,000 people fleeing over the past week, according to the United Nations. Israel has declared Gaza City a “dangerous combat zone,” citing it as a Hamas stronghold.

The Israeli military has intensified airstrikes and operations in Gaza City, with seven soldiers wounded in a recent attack. Hamas has warned that Israeli hostages are being held alongside their fighters in the city, increasing the risk of casualties as Israel moves forward with its invasion plans.

Hamas spokesperson Abu Obeida has issued warnings to the Israeli Defense Forces, stating that their soldiers are at risk of being captured. The terror group is on high alert and vows to teach Israel a “harsh lesson” as tensions escalate.

In response, Israel has called up 60,000 army reservists in preparation for the planned takeover. While some Israeli defense chiefs are advocating for a cease-fire and hostage-release proposal with Hamas, Netanyahu is determined to eradicate the group and free all remaining hostages to bring an end to the conflict.

Families of the hostages held by Hamas have rallied for a peaceful resolution, urging the Israeli government to prioritize their safe return. The situation remains tense as both sides brace for further escalation in Gaza City.
