Police seek help in case of missing Sydney man

The Cape Breton Regional Police are seeking the assistance of the public in locating a missing 74-year-old man named Daniel Sylvester Young, also known as Bingy. Young was reported missing on Thursday after he did not return home from a drive in the Lingan Road area of Sydney.

According to the police, Daniel Young was last seen around 4 p.m. on Thursday. He left his residence driving a 2017 black Ford Escape with the license plate HEU 171. Alerts were issued by authorities regarding his disappearance, with one being sent out on Thursday night in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality (CBRM) and another on Friday morning across the province.

Daniel Young is described as standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He has grey hair and a grey beard. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing navy nylon pants, a dark jacket, and a ball cap.

The Cape Breton Regional Police are urging anyone who may have seen Daniel Young or his vehicle to contact the authorities immediately. The police are actively investigating the case and are hopeful that with the help of the public, they will be able to locate Daniel Young and ensure his safe return home.
