Edward Graham leads Samaritan’s Purse aid efforts at Israel’s war-torn borders

In the midst of ongoing conflict and danger, Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian aid group, is making a significant impact in a country facing war on two fronts. The U.S.-based humanitarian organization is stepping into dangerous areas to provide assistance to people still living in fear every day.
Edward Graham, the chief operating officer of Samaritan’s Purse and grandson of Rev. Billy Graham, recently visited Israel’s tense northern and southern borders to assess the situation and offer support. He met with survivors, soldiers, medics, and local leaders who are still trying to recover from recent attacks by Hezbollah and Hamas.
During his visit to Arab al-Aramshe, a northern Israeli village hit by Hezbollah missiles and drones, Graham emphasized the organization’s commitment to helping those in need. He mentioned, “We go where other people don’t or won’t. Not just because we love you, but because God loves you.”
Samaritan’s Purse is actively involved in providing aid to these communities. They are building armored ambulance stations and promising to establish a new trauma recovery center on the spot. In Arab al-Aramshe, where a deadly drone strike caused extensive damage, the organization is constructing a new ambulance station in the nearby town of Shlomi to serve the affected communities.
The impact of Samaritan’s Purse’s efforts is already being felt, with 42 armored ambulances donated to Israel’s national emergency service, Magen David Adom (MDA). These ambulances are providing a sense of security to the medical teams responding to emergencies in the region.
In the south, Samaritan’s Purse is also working to support communities affected by attacks from Hamas. In Nir Oz, a kibbutz devastated by a brutal attack, the organization has committed to helping rebuild by establishing a community clinic and resilience center. Despite the tragedy, local leaders like Mayor Michal Uziyahu are determined to restore life and hope to the region.
Samaritan’s Purse is also focusing on providing trauma support to children in the Eshkol and Merhavim regions, where many have experienced devastating trauma. By building resilience centers and EMS stations, the organization is working to ensure that those affected by the conflict receive the necessary care and support.
Overall, Samaritan’s Purse’s presence in these vulnerable areas is bringing hope and assistance to those who need it most. Through their commitment to rebuilding communities and providing essential services, they are making a significant difference in the lives of those affected by conflict and violence.
